Following our very interesting and well attended factory tour in September, another tour of the Jaguar factory at Castle Bromwich has been arranged by the XJ Register for Tuesday the 9th of December 2008.

Last time we were treated to a tour of the new XF production line. seeing the just-in-time production methods bring all of the parts together at precisely the right moment to build each car on the line to its own unique specification as ordered by the customer. This included the process from the initial clamping together of the sides and floor of the car, the assembly of the drivetrain and interior straight through to the final test.
This time tour should take us through the new XJ production line, which was closed for maintenance during our September visit. It will start at 1pm, and as before this is free of charge for members of the Jaguar Drivers' Club but places are strictly limited to 20..
Please contact the XJ Register's Registrar, sam.giles@xjregister.org.uk, in order to reserve your place.
