A tour of the Jaguar factory at Castle Bromwich has been arranged by the XJ Register for Thursday the 25th September 2008.

The Castle Bromwich factory in Birmingham was originally built in 1938, becoming a Jaguar plant in 1980. It covers 106 acres, the plant size is a massive 1.4 million square feet, with 2330 people employed. The product history includes Spitfires, Bendix, the XJ6 and the XJS. Currently it produces the S-type saloon and bodyshells for the XJ and XK cars.
The tour will start at 1pm, and will hopefully take us around the XJ production line. This tour is free of charge for members of the Jaguar Drivers' Club, please contact the XJ Register's Registrar, sam.giles@xjregister.org.uk, in order to reserve your place.
